Another Lili of the Valley card, this time for the Papertake Weekly Challenge, which is a sketch by Katharina this week. The card itself is chalked to match the colours of the fairy and the matching background papers.

I absolutely love Lili of the Valley's range, especially the fairies! This card uses one of their die-cut fairies and the matching background papers. It doesn't show on the photo but I've painted the wings with Irridescent Violet H2O, which gives them a gorgeous shimmer.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Well, I've taken the plunge and entered my first blog challenge! This card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, which was a sketch this week. I've rotated the sketch as it works better for this stamp, which I think is so cute. I'll use the card for a male friend's birthday. The papers are from a DCWV Paper Stack. I doubt I'll win, as so many of the other cards are gorgeous and very detailed, but it was fun having a go!

Digital scrapbook page - Amelie one year on

I don't do a lot of scrapbooking but I'm trying to find the time as I think it's such a lovely way to present photos. As well as traditional layouts I'm also playing around with some digital ones using Photoshop Elements - all my photos are on my PC anyway so it makes it much easier! I get my digital elements from Lettering Delights, who have a great range. This layout is of two pictures of Amelie taken almost exactly a year apart - at three days old and the day before her first birthday. As the journalling says, what a difference a year makes.

Unsurprisingly, I've been doing a number of first birthday cards at the moment as my daughter and the other babies from my antenatal group all turn one. I've mostly used Dovecraft's baby paper pack and decoupaged the images - I think they're so cute!
